One Coastguard Cottage (c1881) in Caister on the East Norfolk coast, is a cosy 3 bedroom former coastguard cottage in a secluded location right on Caister Beach.
My Norfolk holiday cottage can comfortably sleep up to 4 adults and 2 children and is situated in the old fisherman’s quarter of our beautiful historic Norfolk coastal village. Located literally a few steps from our beautiful sands, beach access couldn’t be easier but with the added convenience of fish and chips, pubs, shops and restaurants a short walk away.
Our cottage has been refurbished to provide a bright and modern interior, inc washing machine, dishwasher, shower and bath while still retaining its late 19th century character. Free superfast broadband, working Victorian fireplace, hammock all add to its year round appeal

Dogs are welcome at Caister beach all year round and both gardens are enclosed to prevent escapees. I have taken my dog onto Caister beach twice a day for the last 9 years and love it.
(Sorry, pets not permitted upstairs in the bedrooms, stairgate available)
Caister is a village for those seeking a genuine local Norfolk experience. Relaxed, clean and safe, it is still a place where helpful residents will say hello as they pass and you’ll be sure of a friendly welcome in one of the many local shops. The cottage is in a quiet but convienient village location so park the car in the secure provided spaces and explore all Caister has to offer on foot. The village still has a family owned butcher, fishmonger, supermarket, many good pubs, bait shop etc (you get the idea, lots of local going on...) all on the doorstep.

"We took our daughter and granddaughters for two weeks. When we arrived the cottage was very clean and the bedding was of hotel quality, baby gates were fitted to the stairs and a cot was available every night I went to sleep to the sound of the waves. The kitchen was well equipped and the information booklet was helpful both daughter and granddaughters enjoyed the stay at 1 coast guard cottage.
I would highly recommend this cottage that is more or less on the beach for family's with young or older children, couples of any age it is central to most of the attractions making a ideal place to explore Norfolk we enjoyed it so much we have booked to go back next year."

"Great place for a beach holiday. Cottage was nice and clean and well equipped (there was even a bucket and spade!). Couldn't fault it, although the access road was very narrow and slightly scary, we managed to get our 7-seater car up and down it without any problems.
Practically perfect in every way!"

"Had a lovely weekend staying here despite the weather being against us! Great cottage for anyone who loves to be by the sea; literally yards away from you.
We stayed with our young family and dog and were made to feel really welcome by James who was brilliant at communicating with us both before and during our stay and was on hand if we needed anything.
Thanks for a great stay, we’ll definitely be booking to come back when the good weather starts to make an appearance! "

"Perfect place to blow away the cobwebs. Just what we needed after a rather busy time. Quiet with only the sound of the sea. Miles of beach to walk the dog. Dog friendly pubs and great fish and chips. The cottage was clean and cozy even in November especially with the log fire. James the owner, pointed us in the right direction to see places of interest particularly the seals on Hosey beach, which we visited daily."
